HLT laces, the high quality multipurpose loops in "Velcro type"
They are called Hook'n-Loop-Tape but we call them HLT tapes or ties.
Produced by the German-Dutch house seaEQ it is a product as simple as it is useful on board.
Basically, they are high-quality YKK® “velcro-type tapes”, reinforced with polyester thread stitching, and available in four sizes:

The uses on board HLT tapes are innumerable and consequently difficult to indicate in an exhaustive manner:
They can be used in loops to block and keep ropes and coiled cables in order, hang them from lifelines or a pulpit, to secure a rolled genoa or close a mainsail tightly on a boom, tie and keep bags, tanks, the spinnaker pole or the bowsprit, to move the halyards away from the mast when in port or at anchor, to tie pairs of fenders together to increase protection in one point, and so on… there can be a thousand applications and uses on boats!
In any case HLT tapes are:
- Super strong with excellent fixing (“bonding”) quality Always ready to use and used countless times
- In Orange color they are always easy to spot and can also be used to secure emergency equipment
- Usable under weather condition and on any type of boat
