THE SHOOTING BAG FOR THE RECOVERY OF THE MAN OVERBOARD
Of all the emergency situations, it is that of the Man Overboard (MOB) that triggers the most panic on board: not only must the MOB be retrieved quickly, but also NEVER lose sight of it, slow down the boat, approach carefully (possibly without use propellers).
In the whole manoeuvre, the most difficult operation lies precisely in the final recovery: approach, stop and give the MOB the opportunity to get back on board SAFELY. To help us - and above all to help him - we have from Sweden a simple and super-functional device developed in more than forty years of experience: the MOB Rescue Line shooting bag.
MOBLINE, as it is often called, is fixed on board on the rail inside an elegant and soft plastic container designed for prompt action.
In case of need, the "throwing bundle" is extracted having already in hand the handle gasse (which can be held in hand or secured to a cleat or a winch).
Inside there are 30 meters of floating special rescue line and the dorsal strap to tow the MOB on board.

The MOB extracts the dorsal belt, puts it on and holds on tightly: all can be done easily with just one hand.
From the boat, thanks to the recovery line on the double flat top and sewn to handles, even a single person in rough seas and wind will be able to bring the MOB closer to the boat and then set him on board with decision.
ATTENTION: thanks to MOBLINE it will be the Man Over Board who approaches the boat and not vice-versa!
This means that not only will the maneuver be easier, but we won't risk hurting the MOB either with the propellers (which we will turn off) or by hitting him with the hull.
IMPORTANT
We at F&B Yachting recommend, in good weather, in non-risky conditions and in calm waters, to dedicate a few attempts to man overboard recovery trials using MOBLINE.
We advise you to proceed by practicing first with the engine (always turn off the engine when close to the man overboard - NOT just put in neutral), then with sails and finally, extremely important, also exchanging roles.
Even more so if the commander falls into the sea, it will in fact become difficult to organize the maneuvers and operations for his recovery.
MOB Rescue Line is a simple and, although studied in detail, inexpensive, which does not take up space, of quality and which considerably increases the chances of recovery of the Man Overboard.
