Bowsprit-platforms ready and perfect for every sailboat

The advantages of bowsprit platforms compared to tubular bowsprits are several, in fact it is equipment that today is almost always present in the most modern cruising and racing sailing boats.

Much more robust than a traditional bowsprit, the bowsprit platform allows you to have a simple and always available attack to wall sails such as gennakers, asymmetrical or tails 0, even symmetrical such as Parasailor and Parasail, increasing the size of the sail plan, always having the sail well away from the pulpit, but also to have the anchor housing spaced from the bow, facilitating its ascent without the risk of hitting the hull.

Furthermore, the installation of a bowsprit platform always slims the line of the boat, improving its aesthetics.

We have two models of UniBow bowsprit platform: the Compass and the RUN.

Both are simply bolted to the hull and therefore do not require any updating of the navigation booklet.

(The real protrusion of the bowsprit is to be deducted from what a normal anchor bow-roller would have, for a standard version, the difference in protrusion is approximately 30-40 cm depending on the dimensions).

The UniBow Compass consist of two opposing beams that open like a compass, adapting to the hull.
The UniBow RUN, on the other hand, consist of a single piece that rests on the bow of the boat in line with the deck

UniBow Compass is offered in three different types of material:

Black or silver anodized Anticorodal aluminum or with white powder industrial coating
Unidirectional vinylester fiberglass painted with white or black gelcoat
Unidirectional and biaxial carbon painted with white or black gelcoat

Depending on the model, the 316 stainless steel bow-roller can be disassembled for use in regattas or fixed and structural for the standard versions and for a cleaner aesthetic.

UniBow Run is made entirely of white gelcoat painted carbon (black optional)

Two different lengths with or without anchor bow-roller, calculated for the best ratio between performance and handicap rating.

This platform bowsprit is particularly suitable for sporting use in regattas on latest and penultimate generation boats, with external or built-in furler, thanks to its lightness and the possibility of rigging a double tack sheet for changing the gennaker and the becket for the hitch 2:1 of the mura or a frullone.

In both versions, if equipped with an anchor bow roller, a rigid restraint is supplied, adjustable in length, which must be fixed on the straight bow and which serves to support both the traction loads due to the use of the sails, and those in compression generated by the pull of the anchor chain.
