Code D
DeltaVoiles solutions for cruises

«Pour naviguer au grand portant: rien ne vaut un spi.
Pour accélérer au bon plein et au largue: rien ne vaut un genaker»
Code D has luff drop/cut like a gennaker or a Code 0 and an asymmetric spi leech. A very functional solution! It can in fact unite the advantages of both sails: Easy to use like a furling gennaker and the power of an asymmetric spi.
Released on the market in 2010, praised in the press by many French sailors, Code D enjoys considerable success, making its mark, as the ideal asymmetric cruise sail in downwind conditions.
Angle range of use:
It's polar is wide: Code D can in fact push the boat in winds ranging from 60° to 140°. Once used with a spinnaker pool on the down-wind clew it can push the boat even up to 180°. It has the widest possible range of use among any asymmetric sails.
Comfort and stability
The luff is runned by a kevlar cable that gives the sail much greater stability compared to that given by any asymmetric spi. It can even withstand small changes in course. It does not require any more attention than when handling a genoa. It can also be used with the automatic pilot on moderate sea ar wind conditions.

Safety:
Code D is an asymmetric sail specially designed to fit any furling system. Should wind increase or should there be an unexpected emergency, you just leave the sheet and in a few seconds it rolls up.
