The innovative storm jib that is fixed on fulers

The STORM-BAG is the storm jib designed for use on sailing vessels equipped with a roller reefing genoa.
There is no need to remove the genoa. It consists of a double-skinned sail that folds around the furled genoa, the two separated clews joining together to form one.
It has been developed for yachts with no inner forestay and avoids the expense and trouble of installing a removable baby-stay as well as offering a fast, safe and effective means of setting a storm jib with minimal fuss for all sailing vessels.

The STORM-BAG is comprehensive, durable and compact - it consists of the bag, the sail, the sheets (complete with snap-shackles) and a tack strop, again with snap-shackle (which can be clipped to the life-lines for security when moving to the foredeck). STORM-BAG comes ready to deploy.
Just two snap-shackle and STORM-BAG
is ready to use!
Folowing the STORM-BAG benefits:
- compact and easy to transport with its carrying handle compact
- the STORM-BAG comes fully equipped (sheets, tack strop, snap shackles)
- quick and easy to set up: just 3 snap shackles
- the low centre of thrust enhances balance under sail in very strong wind and without excessive heel
- is compact and takes up very little place on board
- works on any boat
It can be used as often as necessary. When it is deployed its bag remains attached to the sail by its stitching - it stays inside the two plays, between the sail against chafe on the roller.
If the weather conditions demand it, it can quickly be dropped on to the deck with all sheets and halyards attached.
STORM-BAG means to spend less time on your bow in bad weather condition: that is more safety

More performance:
The STORM-BAG three-dimensional profile crate a “wing-effect” and so provides a highly efficient driving force. You have less hamper in the genoa and then the result is amazing.
Even in very though conditions you have more up-wind and less drift: that is essential to round a cape or just to keep your route.

Not only for stormy sea:
Several customers told us that they normally use there STORM-BAGs even in NOT extreme wind conditions.
Instead of using the half-furled genoa that is very low efficient and doesn’t keep a sufficient up-wind route, they prefer STORM-BAG.
So the yacht is more balance and stable and able to reach the highest up-wind degree.
...and more
When STORM-BAG is deployed its bag remains attached to the sail by its stitching - it stays inside the two plys, between the sail against chafe on the roller. Can not open under-wind by itself.
If the weather conditions demand it, it can quickly be dropped on to the deck with all sheets and halyards attached.

We are having the range dedicated to multi-hulls:
Even your catamaran or trimaran can have it own Storm-Bag that has been though, cut and realized on measure.
Typical on this category of yachts are the difficulties in proceeding up-wind with waves and strong wind: drifting risk is very high. STORM-BAG is the solution to safety face those hard conditions.

Refolding:
After each deployment, you must refold the sail. Lay the sail out flat with the head of the sail towards the top and the packing bag at the bottom. Fold the sail downwards horizontally in a concertina fashion to half-way down the bag. The pleats should be adjusted exactly on to the marks on the central axis of the sail.
The final pleats should be adjusted to leave only the halyard webbing sticking out the top of the bag. In a similar way, refold the two halves of the sail inwards using a concertina fashion, each half on its half of the bag leaving the central section free shown by vertical marks.
Close the bottom of the bag along the top edge and put the Velcro closures face to face. Place the clew rings in their gaps in the middle (the Velcro tongue is passed through the ring to fix them in position).
Flake the sheets and secure them inside the back of the bag using their Velcro straps.Refold the bag and clip it together.
Economical & Convenient:
STROM-BAG no need to be fit to a removable stay. So you save money because you do not have to install a stay and to buy am expensive stay pulling system.
STORM-BAG guards against sustaining irreversible damage to the shape of your genoa and guards against damaging the roller profiles with a partially rolled genoa (hard points).
From the French magazine “Voiles and Voiliers”
"...what we had imagined was soon confirmed. A standard fitted yacht cannot do a great deal in true winds of 25 to 30 knots even when backed up by engine power.
However, with the three reefs in the main and and the innovative STORM-BAG storm sail, our Sun Fast put on a convincing performance in the strongest part of the front clocking up more than 35 knots in rough seas..."
By way of conclusion, they reported :
"...The STORM-BAG solution, developed by DELTA Voiles is really convincing.
Essential safety equipment on board! Easy to fit...the STORM-BAG performance surprised us. More speed, less drift than with a classic storm sail...with a STORM-BAG to hand and three reefs in the main, you have time to think"
