The best and smallest ally for safety at sea

It's called SIMY My-AIS and it's the smallest personal locator in the world for Man Overboard.

Designed by boaters for boaters, My-AIS is the small, light, robust and CHEAP personal emergency locator that easily integrates into any type of life jacket (even the most compact ones) or self-inflating poles equipped with pockets.
A real ally for safety at sea!
What happens when My-AIS is activated?
Once activated (manually or automatically), the tracker transmits the GPS position instantly to ships, professional boats and coastal emergency stations within radio range (from 5 to 10 miles depending on sea conditions) as well as, OBVIOUSLY, to the boat if equipped with an AIS system.
The tracker is therefore immediately identified and localized and, not only the shipwrecked boat but anyone in the reception area can change course and promptly rescue.
The AIS system is integrated in the SIMY My-AIS locator which can be used in automatic or manual mode:
- In automatic mode, the tracker will activate immediately upon inflation of the lifejacket.
- In manual mode, the tracker must be activated by the user

Exclusive technical evolutions of MY-AIS:
SPRING ANTENNA: the range of AIS systems also depends on the height of the antenna. The MOB is at sea and therefore an effective antenna must somehow rise as high as possible. MY-AIS is equipped with a special wheel antenna which, when activated, snaps and rises several centimeters.
TEAR-ON ACTIVATION: the classic automatic activation of beacons is generally given by a negative and a positive poles which come into contact in water. However, this type of system is susceptible to false alarms in the typical humid conditions of the sea.
MY-AIS is instead equipped with an exclusive mechanical tear-off activation system, which is activated only thanks to the opening of the self-inflating life jacket: no false alarms.

What is AIS technology
AIS is an international standard that allows ships and boats for professional use to exchange their course, position and speed data via VHF radio waves, in order to avoid collisions and to follow traffic at sea.
My-AIS integrates this technology. Once the tracker is activated, every vessel within radio range will receive the distress signal and the precise GPS position of the tracker on its AIS receiver. At that point, the sailors will change course to come to the rescue
