Self-cleaning anti-fouling for propellers
From the Australian GreenCorp Marine we present the PropOne propeller anti-fouling
On fluoropolymers based, our special antifouling give you a double action:
1. It makes the surface of the propellers extremely smooth, decreasing their water resistance and therefore significantly improving their performance (greater speed / power, lower consumption, less cavitation).
2. Makes the treated surface less susceptible to fouling. If the boat is not used for some time, the marine organisms can obviously form: but thanks to PropOne the propeller cleans itself immediately as it enters rotation.
The PropOne principle:
Unlike traditional anti-vegetatives that emit poisonous substances, PropOne is not biocidal, meaning it is not toxic to humans and the environment.
Since it does not emit harmful substances, it works on the physical characteristics of the propeller surface, making it difficult to attack by fouling and at the same time much more fluid and efficient: it has been calculated that the efficiency of an untreated helix decreases from 20 to 70% in correspondence of the aggressiveness of fouling.
PropOne is therefore an absolutely ecological but also efficient system.
PropOne is also an excellent solution to protect submerged metal parts such as drive axles or even bow thruster propellers. On boats that enjoy a speed of over 15 knots, it is also indicated for flaps and rudders.
But what is even more interesting is that PropOne is available at a very reasonable price.

The application is easy but meticulous (we describe briefly): the parts to be treated are carefully and extremely well cleaned, leaving no trace of grease or contaminants, of old antifoulings and obviously traces of marine organisms.
In this very important phase, acetone can be used; but we have the special PropWash available, a high efficiency specific detergent able to guarantee the treatment of the surface without any residue.
PropOne is supplied in a kit consisting of a Bicomponent Primer (Coat and Activator), which will obviously be laid as a preparer in the first painting phase. As soon as the coat is dry, Clear Coat, the real painting, will be spread. It is important to use two separate brushes for the two phases.
