MOB Rescue Marker Buoy
From the German SeaCurity a device for the identification and recovery of the man overboard (IOR auction): Rescue Marker Buoy.
In a few kilograms of weight, this NON-mandatory safety device by law counts:
- A signal pole 2 meters high above the water level
- An integrated horseshoe lifebuoy to accommodate the castaway
- An automatic led light at the head of the auction
- A signal flag with reflective stripe
- A safety strap to secure the castaway
- A floating anchor to hold the position
- A stabilizing weight so that it doesn't blow over with the wind
- Two pockets (one low and one high) to house an AIS beacon (optional)
Always ready for use in its rigid ABS container, it is hooked to the outside of a rail and, in the event of a Man Overboard (MOB) emergency, the release handle opens.
The Rescue Marker Buoy auto-inflatable pole falls into the water and the pole immediately inflates into the sea thanks to the compressed paper cartridge hydrostatic valve.
The pole will therefore be immediately available to the MOB who will reach it in safety and, thanks to the light and the flag, will always be identifiable, even in bad weather conditions, day or night.
The two exclusive pockets (one high and one low) for an AIS beacon offer the important option of pre-inserting a self-activating mini-beacon on the shaft which precisely gives the alarm and signals the position when activated in the water.
