Outboard Engines Antithief Locks
The problem of the theft of outboard motors, both small ones for use in tenders and large ones such as engines for motorboats and rubber dinghies, is a deeply felt issue and has grown moderately in recent years.
We found invaluable help from the Stazo, a company specializing in marine anti-theft closures and locks, thanks to two special high-security padlocks specifically designed for outboards.
1. The first, for use with smaller engines for tenders, is the Spindlelock anti-theft device: it is a block with a high-security lock, capable of making the fastening knobs of the engines themselves impregnable. Made of AISI 316 steel, it contains inside the two knobs for fixing to the transom (or the outboard door support), which are protected by a high security lock. Simply tighten the motor tight and slip in the Spindlelock with its keyed locking lock.
The keys are unique and coded. Installing the lock is simple and requires no tools. Spindlelock is internationally certified and comes with a two year warranty.
2. For more powerful and heavier engines that are bolted on board, we present the simple but formidable Nutlock.
This small but super-secure anti-theft lock includes the bolt head inside.
Also entirely in stainless steel, it is equipped with a lock with a coded safety key.
The base is tightened as if it were a washer between the bolt and the transom: once the operation is completed, the head is simply closed with the cover equipped with a key and thieves, not having access to the bolt, will not be able to disassemble the engine.
Both Spindlelock and Nutlock are made of marine grade, anti-drill, anti-pick geometry and anti-pick locks.
Thanks to Spindlelock and Nutlock the problem of outboard thefts is definitively solved, whatever their size.
